Mia Simmons
Major: Business Administration (Strategy & Management Consulting, International Business), Minor: Japanese Studies

Bio: Mia Simmons is a senior studying strategy and management consulting, international business, and
Japanese language and culture. Throughout her time at Emory, she has been involved in a multitude of
on-campus organizations, such as directing pro-bono consulting projects with Consult Your Community,
serving as a Career Management Center Coach, and playing on the Ultimate Frisbee A-Team. Her
favorite college memory was studying abroad in Tokyo, Japan, where she experienced the intricacies of
Japanese culture and improved her foreign language capabilities. After graduation, Mia will be joining
Deloitte Consulting to work full-time in their human capital consulting practice. Her long-term goal is to
marry her passions for business and Japanese to effect systemic change within nonprofit organizations at
the global level. In order to expand East Asian relief efforts, she hopes to serve as a liaison between
American and Japanese NGOs to foster long-term partnerships, improve institutional capacities, and
strengthen intercultural understanding.
